Steven Universe is created by Rebecca Sugar for Cartoon Network. The show centers on a young boy named Steven Universe, who lives in the fictional town of Beach City with the "Crystal Gems" – Pearl, Garnet, and Amethyst, three magical humanoid aliens. Steven, who is half-Gem, goes on adventures with his friends and helps the Gems protect the world from their own kind.
It premiered on November 4, 2013. As of May 29, 2017, 128 regular 11-minute episodes of Steven Universe have aired over the course of the series, plus two special double-length 22-minute episodes.
"Say Uncle", the crossover episode with Uncle Grandpa, aired on April 2, 2015. The episode follows Uncle Grandpa helping Steven use his Gem powers after he's unable to summon his shield. The episode, which Uncle Grandpa acknowledges is not canon, features a literal "plot hole".
